March 20, 2016 – Palm Sunday, the first day of spring, and a special day for our family. We let the day slip by without any big celebration or even the smallest acknowledgement. We lounged around, cuddled, watched movies, made dinner, played, napped, packed away outgrown baby clothes, shared kisses and enjoyed the warmth of our home.
I suppose the day didn’t need to be celebrated but I generally enjoy acknowledging special dates. Not always with a party and sweet treats but even just to say out-loud “This day x-years ago we were doing….” or “x-years ago fill-in-the-blank happened.”
We didn’t do that on March 20, 2016 even though just 2 [short] years ago we were signing papers to buy our home! We’ve owned our home for 2 years and the day passed us just like all the rest. But really, what better way could we celebrate a milestone like owning our home than by spending your whole day enjoying it?!
So, as a way to remember our non-special-but-actually-really-special celebration of 2 years owning our home, I have a few pictures as of late:
Until next time — Cindy
