water bug

“Dance and swim.  Those are going to be her activities.”

Forest got a wireless bluetooth speaker for a 5 years of service gift from work that we got up and running Saturday morning after breakfast.  One of Peyton’s favorite activities is dancing (her daily reports from daycare says how much she loves bopping to the music they play).  Needless to say, Peyton spent her morning dancing around the house with us.  She would randomly bust out in a little head bob and bounce if a song caught her attention.

After lunch, we decided to open up the inflatable pool Peyton got as a birthday gift.  It was hot and muggy outside and it took some work to get the pool inflated and filled for her but I slipped her into a bathing suit (that matched mine, of course!) and we sloooooooowly eased ourselves into the cold water.  She did NOT like the cold water (smart girl) but once she got used to it she was splashing and turning in circles chasing the toys that were floating around.

Sunday afternoon we decided to put together the water table that Forest and I got her for her birthday so we could splash around in it to cool off.  She’s our little water bug, for sure!
